DescriptionThe Substation Designer is responsible for supporting the design and development of electrical substation projects ranging from simple to moderately complex. This role involves preparing detailed engineering drawings, performing design calculations, and supporting engineering teams through drafting, modeling, and field activities. The Substation Designer applies established design standards and exercises sound judgment under the guidance of project engineers.Skills & QualificationsQualifications:- Associates degree or technical certification in electrical engineering technology, drafting, or related field- Experience with AutoCad(Microstation would be a plus)- Understanding of electrical substation systems(low, medium, and high voltage)- Strong attention to details and organizational skills- Effective communication and teamwork abilitiesJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boise, ID.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $38.46/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
