Software EngineerJob DescriptionThis role supports the development of a real-time data ecosystem integrating high-speed sensor and video data. The system ingests and processes telemetry from players, balls, cameras, and high-speed video capture, delivering near-real-time insights as part of a larger distributed architecture. The team is currently building toward a minimum viable product (MVP) by year-end, with the program expected to continue and expand beyond the initial delivery.Responsibilities+ Design and develop real-time and near-real-time software systems.+ Build and integrate pipelines for high-speed sensor, telemetry, and video data.+ Contribute to system architecture and distributed system design.+ Implement production-ready software primarily in C++ and C#.+ Support the full lifecycle from requirements gathering through implementation.+ Collaborate closely with onsite engineering and product stakeholders.Essential Skills+ Strong experience in software development with proficiency in C/C++.+ Preference for C#, but strong C++ developers are acceptable and expected to transition easily.+ Experience with real-time messaging and distributed systems (e.g., ROS, DDS).+ Ability to process high-volume, near real-time telemetry and control data.+ Strong system architecture ideally with technical lead experience and hands-on coding.+ Ability to communicate effectively with customers, including biweekly meetings.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Minimum seven years of relevant experience, with flexibility for exceptional candidates who can be productive immediately.+ Willingness to learn and use new languages and technologies.+ Experience with embedded systems, Yocto, QNX, or similar platforms is a plus.+ Openness to AI/IoT is valued, but not strictly required.Work EnvironmentThe team consists of 7 developers. We are looking for someone who can lead and operate at an expert level. The environment is a small company where team members wear multiple hats.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Webster Groves, MO.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00
