Job Title: Construction Project EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Project Engineer or Project Manager to provide short-term support on a federal construction project. This role will focus heavily on submittals and work plan reviews, with the ability to work remotely when not required on site. The position will require on-site presence in North Dakota for approximately three months.Responsibilities+ Prepare, review, and manage project submittals in accordance with federal project requirements.+ Support the review of work plans and technical documentation.+ Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely and accurate submittal approvals.+ Assist the project team with federal compliance and documentation processes.+ Provide on-site support as needed during the project duration.+ Communicate effectively with internal teams and project stakeholders.Essential Skills+ Experience working as a Project Engineer or Project Manager on construction projects.+ Strong experience with submittals.+ Federal project experience required.+ Ability to work independently and remotely when applicable.+ Willingness and ability to be on site in North Dakota for up to three months.Work EnvironmentThis is a field-based heavy civil environment supporting a federal client, structured, safety-driven, and documentation-focused. You will work alongside experienced crews and company-owned equipment in a hands-on, field-first culture. Expect time outdoors and direct coordination with foremen, operators, and labor crews to keep production moving safely and efficiently. The environment emphasizes professionalism and adherence to federal standards, requiring consistent PPE, pre-task planning, and compliance with site rules. The project is located near Garrison Dam by Riverdale, ND, in a rural, wide-open setting near Lake Sakakawea.
